Linux Ubuntu information seminar
 
On November 26, Talisman College organized, in association with AT Computing, a free information seminar about Linux Ubuntu. The Location for this event was Woerden, the Netherlands.
 
Attendants subscribed through the contact form on the Talisman College page as posted on the website. There were many registrations for this evening, and although not every subscriber was present, the evening was successful as the reactions of the attendants were positive.
 
Reactions included: ‘Nice to have information about the possibilities for Ubuntu education’; ‘Nice to have information about the history and different models of Linux’; ‘The evening was short, I would have valued more technical explanation’; ‘It was a very nice evening and I received the information I wanted’.
 
The program for this seminar included:

·         History of Linux/Unix in general and the specific history of Ubuntu
·         Differences between the Linux/Unix models
·         Position of Ubuntu in the product group
·         Training and certifying possibilities
·         Question and discussion time with a certified Ubuntu trainer
